Yes. Mapping a getaway is free, there's no account to create and no payment details are needed. We're testing the idea, so nothing is charged at any point.

You answer a short set of questions — where you'd like to go, when, who's travelling and the kind of trip you want. We put a getaway together from that: a route, the nights in each place, and the flights, stays and experiences that fit around it. From there you can change any part of it.

Because the tabs don't talk to each other. Map My Getaway is being built so your route, flights, stays, experiences and transport sit against one trip with one running total — change a stop and the rest of the getaway moves with it, instead of you rebuilding it across six sites and a spreadsheet.

That's what V1 is being built to do: show you suitable options for each part of the trip and let you swap between them without starting the whole plan again. Today the prototype shows an example getaway rather than a full set of options to compare.

Not in the prototype — every figure you see now is an illustrative range built from research. As we connect real travel data we intend to use live or recently checked provider pricing where it's available. Some prices will always be indicative and should be confirmed before you book.

Nothing books today. In V1, some parts of a getaway are likely to be completed securely with external travel partners rather than inside Map My Getaway itself. We'll always make it clear where a booking is being completed and who you're dealing with.

Yes — that's the point of the canvas. Switch parts of the trip on or off, tell us you've already sorted something yourself, revisit the extras, or go back and change a destination, the dates or the trip length. The trip and the total update around your change.

You can save a getaway to your email address as you finish mapping it. Reopening a saved getaway in a new session and carrying on where you left off is exactly what we're building next, so for now treat a saved trip as a record rather than a workspace you can return to.

Not yet. Nothing is being tracked or checked for anyone today, and we don't send price alerts. It is the main thing we're building: setting a price you're waiting for on a part of your trip, seeing what has moved since you saved the getaway, and hearing about changes worth your attention. Anything you see on this page about targets or watching describes that intent, not a feature you can use now.

No. We don't predict prices, we won't claim to have the cheapest fare, and we won't promise you a saving. What we're building is awareness and organisation — your trip held in one place, with the changes surfaced so you can make your own call about when to book.

Not today. We're working to bring flexible payment options to Map My Getaway, for travellers who'd rather spread the cost of a trip over time. No lender is connected and no application exists. Telling us what feels comfortable each week helps shape the trips we suggest — it isn't a repayment, a quote or a credit assessment.
